McDonald’s is set to open its new restaurant at Stanton later this month, bringing a 24-hour, drive-thru outlet to the area.
The new restaurant, located on Exhibition Way, New Stanton Road, Stanton (DE7 4RZ), is due to open on Wednesday 28 January following several months of construction.
Once open, the site will operate 24 hours a day and will include a drive-thru, making it one of the few round-the-clock food outlets serving Ilkeston and the surrounding area.
The development forms part of wider commercial growth around the Stanton corridor and has attracted significant local interest. During the planning process, concerns were raised about traffic levels, road safety and late-night activity, while supporters pointed to job creation and increased choice for residents.
