Court cases – latest outcomes

The following cases involving local residents were recently dealt with by the courts.

Kieron Birkett, 19, of Nether Slade Road, was guilty of assaulting a constable. He was handed a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £26 victim surcharge.

Darren Rowland, 41, of Hayeswood Road, Stanley Common, was guilty of assaulting a constable. He was given a 12-day rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £50 compensation, £85 court costs and a £60 fine.

Jake Langton, 26, of Yew Tree Close, was guilty of racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment. The case was adjourned.
