Several Ilkeston residents have appeared before magistrates as part of the latest cases heard at Chesterfield and Derby Magistrates’ Courts.
The hearings covered a range of offences. Some cases resulted in sentences being handed down, while others were adjourned for further hearings.
Ilkeston cases
Daniel Gulson, 31, of Byron Street, Ilkeston: Guilty of being drunk and disorderly in a public place, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, theft of food and household items worth £15 from One Stop, and theft in a dwelling involving gold and silver coins.
Case adjourned.
Dean Williamson, 51, of Market Street, Ilkeston: Guilty of breaching a criminal behaviour order.
Handed an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
Craig Fitzgerald, 53, of Cotmanhay Road, Ilkeston: Guilty of harassment without violence.
Handed a £300 fine, ordered to pay £65 court costs and a £120 victim surcharge.
Jake Black-Stevenson, 22, of Beauvale Drive, Ilkeston: Guilty of being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
Handed a £133 fine, ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £53 victim surcharge.
Josh Wakeling, 24, of Hornbeam Close, Ilkeston: Guilty of multiple shop thefts involving items taken from One Beyond, One Stop, Asda and B&M, as well as criminal damage and assault by beating.
Case adjourned.
Richard Dawson, 51, of Dovedale Circle, Ilkeston: Guilty of possessing a folding knife in a public place.
Jailed for three months, suspended for 12 months, handed a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £114 victim surcharge.
Thomas Purdy, 31, of Godfrey Drive, Ilkeston: Guilty of making a large number of indecent images of children across multiple categories.
Case adjourned.
