Two offenders from Ilkeston have recently appeared before the magistrates’ court, with sentences handed down for motoring and public order offences.

Nikki Brooks, 34, guilty of failing to provide information identifying the driver of a vehicle alleged to have committed an offence.
Magistrates disqualified her from driving for six months. She was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £130 in court costs along with a £48 victim surcharge.
Steven Rodgers, 40, of Ockbrook Court, Cotmanhay, guilty of obstructing or resisting a police constable while carrying out their duties.
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 in court costs.
These cases were heard at Derby magistrates’ court. Sentences and outcomes are subject to change where cases have been adjourned or referred for further hearings.
