A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after a knife incident at a property in Cotmanhay, near Ilkeston.
Derbyshire Police said officers were called to reports that two people armed with a knife had entered a house on Muskham Avenue on Tuesday evening (January 13).
On arrival, officers found that a teenage boy had suffered a stab injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment and is understood to be expected to make a full physical recovery.
A second victim, a man in his 20s, sustained a minor slash wound to his hand. He is also expected to make a full physical recovery.
Police said the two suspects left the scene in a vehicle, which was later spotted in Ilkeston and failed to stop for officers. Following a pursuit, the vehicle was abandoned on Pit Lane in Shipley, and the occupants ran off.
One suspect was detained shortly afterwards, while the second ran into Shipley Park. After being tracked by a police plane and police dogs, the second suspect was also detained.
Two teenage boys, aged 17 and 19, have since been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remain in police custody.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said:
“We were called to reports that two people had entered a house in Muskham Avenue, Cotmanhay and were armed with a knife.”
