Ilkeston Town manager Ian Deakin has stepped down from his role after taking charge of his final game at the club.
Deakin confirmed his departure in a statement shared on social media, bringing an end to his time in the dugout after three seasons.
His final match in charge came just days after Ilkeston Town lifted the Derbyshire Senior Challenge Cup on Tuesday, ending his tenure on a high note.
He thanked staff, players and supporters for their backing during his time at the New Manor Ground, describing it as a period he was “immensely proud” of.
“Thank you for your effort and support,” he said. “I wish nothing but success for the future for everyone involved.”
Deakin has been a central figure at the club in recent years, overseeing a competitive side and maintaining strong backing from supporters.
His departure marks a significant moment for Ilkeston Town, with attention now turning to who will take the club forward.
No further details have been announced at this stage regarding interim arrangements or a replacement.
