Ilkeston’s festive season is kicking off in true community style as the League of Friends of Ilkeston Community Hospital brings back its much-loved Magical Christmas Bazaar.
The event takes place on Saturday 29 November 2025, running from 11am to 2pm in Charnos Hall at Ilkeston Community Hospital — and it’s set to be one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the League of Friends, who work tirelessly to support patients, staff, and vital hospital equipment.
🎁 What to Expect
Visitors can browse a wide range of festive stalls including:
- Raffle & tombola
- Homemade cakes and bakes
- Crafts and gifts
- Books & Christmas treats
- Face painting and kids activities
- A Christmas cake raffle
- Refreshments
- Children’s festive photo opportunity
It’s the perfect place to pick up stocking fillers, enjoy a cuppa, and get into the festive spirit — all while supporting a brilliant local cause.
🎅 Meet Santa
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Christmas bazaar without a visit from Santa himself, who’ll be in his grotto waiting to meet local children (and grown-ups who still believe).

Entry is £2 per adult, and every penny raised goes straight back into Ilkeston Community Hospital, helping fund specialist equipment and improvements that support local patients and staff.
