Starbucks Opens at New Stanton Park, Ilkeston

A new Starbucks drive-thru café has opened at New Stanton Park in Ilkeston.

The coffee shop opened its doors at 9.30am on Thursday, becoming one of the first customer-facing businesses at the major redevelopment site off Lows Lane.

The store is located at Unit 1, New Stanton Park, Exhibition Way, and is open daily from 6am to 9pm.

New jobs created

The opening has created 16 new jobs, with staff recruited locally ahead of launch.

To mark the opening, the first customers through the doors received gifts from the store team, along with free drink and food vouchers distributed to local residents in the run-up to launch.

Part of major redevelopment

The café forms part of the wider regeneration of the former Stanton Ironworks site, one of the largest brownfield redevelopment projects in Derbyshire.

The 200-acre New Stanton Park development is being transformed into a major industrial and employment park, bringing new businesses and investment to the area.

Supporting local charity

Starbucks says the new store is supporting Ben’s Den, an Ilkeston charity which supports families of children fighting cancer.

A spokesperson for Starbucks said the company aims to create a welcoming space for the local community.

The new café is the first Starbucks location serving the Ilkeston area.
