Former Derby and Ilkeston athlete Nick Lees has been found not guilty of child sex offence charges following a trial at Derby Crown Court sitting in Mansfield.
The 68-year-old, of Bath Street, Ilkeston, had denied the allegations.
After hearing evidence over the course of the trial, the jury unanimously found Mr Lees not guilty of two counts of child rape and four counts of sexual activity with children.
Mr Lees had already pleaded guilty to a separate offence of perverting the course of justice and received a six-month prison sentence. The court heard that time already spent on remand meant the sentence had effectively been served.
The identities of all complainants are protected by law.
