Ilkeston offenders appear in latest Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court round-up

Several cases involving people from Ilkeston have appeared in the latest list of offences dealt with by Derbyshire’s Magistrates’ Courts.

Possession of weapon in public

Benjamin K, 18, guilty of possession of a knuckle duster in a public place.

Magistrates ordered him to pay a £400 fine.

Child support enforcement case

Lee Allsop, 42, of Darwin Avenue, Ilkeston, appeared in relation to non-payment of child support and enforcement fees.

He was committed to custody for 42 days, suspended, and ordered to repay the outstanding amount.

Theft from supermarket

Mark Seaton, 47, of St Mary Street, Ilkeston, guilty of two counts of theft involving ten bottles of Bacardi belonging to Aldi.

He received a six-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and was ordered to pay £159.86 in compensation, along with £85 in court costs.

Breach of domestic violence protection order

Matthew Goff-Kai, 49, of Wilton Street, Ilkeston, admitted breaching a domestic violence protection order.

He was sentenced to 28 days in prison.

Theft case

Tracey Riley, 51, of Boweswell Road, Ilkeston, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft involving ten bottles of Bacardi from Aldi.

She received a 12-month conditional discharge.
