A major infrastructure consultation has been launched by National Grid Electricity Transmission plc, inviting local people to have their say on proposals for a new high-voltage transmission line connecting Chesterfield and Willington.
The project would see the construction of a new 400 kV overhead electricity line, spanning roughly 60 km, along with associated works such as substations and access routes. These proposals are part of broader national plans to strengthen the electricity network.
📅 Consultation Period
The consultation is open from 12 pm Tuesday 3 March 2026 until 11:59 pm Tuesday 28 April 2026. During this period, residents can view documents and submit feedback.
