A beauty salon in West Hallam has been named “Salon of the Year” at a UK industry awards event, just months after opening its doors.
The Barn of Beauty, founded by Lucy Corrigan, launched in December 2025 and has now picked up the award at the Brow Awards 2026, held in Birmingham earlier this month.
The awards recognise brow artists, salons and beauty professionals from across the UK, with entrants submitting their work for judging across a range of categories.
Lucy Corrigan said the win came as a proud moment after taking the step to open her own business.
“Starting my own little salon has been a huge step for me, so this really means the world,” she said.
“I’m so grateful to all my wonderful clients who have supported me along the way.”
The Brow Awards are a specialist event focused on the brow and beauty sector, with categories covering individual technicians, salons and brands. Businesses typically enter themselves into relevant categories, with winners selected as part of the judging process.
The 2026 ceremony took place at the Aurora Grand Hall in Birmingham on 14 March.
The Barn of Beauty is based in West Hallam and offers a range of brow treatments. Following the award win, Lucy says she is now able to take on a limited number of new clients.
She added:
“If anyone local has been thinking about booking in, I’d love to see you.”
