Kirk Hallam is getting its very own Christmas lights switch-on this year and the community has pulled together in style.
In partnership with Dale Abbey Parish Council, Derbyshire County Council and Erewash Borough Council, a full day of festive fun has now been confirmed – all taking place at The Cat and Fiddle.
Here’s what’s happening on Saturday 29 November:
📌 Christmas Market from 11.30am
A great mix of stalls, gifts and festive treats.
📌 Meet Santa 12.30pm to 1.15pm
Bring the kids for a magical moment with the big man himself. 🎅🏻
📌 Ilkeston Brass 2pm
Local favourites bringing the Christmas classics. 🎺
📌 Christmas Lights Switch-On with DJ Gary and Guests 5.30pm to 7pm
The big moment. Expect music, countdowns and a brilliant community atmosphere. 🎄
📌 Live Band: Animal Room from 8pm
Ending the night with live music and plenty of festive cheer. 🎸
📌 Raffle and more throughout the day
Spot prizes, stalls and a few surprises still to come.
Every penny raised will be donated to Ben’s Den, the much-loved local charity. 💛💙
