Santa’s Sleigh Coming to West Hallam for a Festive Street Tour on 10 December

Families in West Hallam are in for some Christmas magic this year as Santa and his sleigh travel through the village on Wednesday 10 December.

Organised by Church Wilne Rotary, the two-hour community route will run 6pm–8pm, starting from Tesco Express before weaving through neighbourhood streets so children (and excited grown-ups) can catch a glimpse of Santa as he passes.

A full route map has been released, showing Santa travelling along Scargill Road, Nursery Avenue, Peveril Crescent, Derbyshire Avenue, Hallam Way, Henley Way and other surrounding streets before looping back towards The Village.

To help families plan the perfect moment to wave, the Rotary have launched a live Santa Tracker, which will show his exact location throughout the evening:

The event is part of the Rotary’s Christmas fundraising efforts, with local volunteers helping to bring the sleigh to life and support good causes in the community. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for local businesses via the tracker.

The team at Michael’s Way Community Sensory Garden say they are grateful for the Rotary’s continued support, calling the helpers and donators “incredible” for the time and kindness they give each year.

With a clear map, live tracking and Santa himself on board, West Hallam residents can look forward to a magical mid-week visit.
